ReplyDeleteAlena is the most amazing little horse! It is hard to believe she was not always the charming, well mannered girl I know.
ReplyDeleteI was there when she almost lost her life and I watched this strong, stubborn, loving horse fight back and survive. And not only survive, but go back on the trails! She ached to go out again and so we decided I would ride her just a part of a trail ride and come back with her when she tired. But Alena would have nothing to do with that! She pranced and strutted the whole way out and so we let her do the entire hour ride -- with me on her back! Alena is a true warrior, full of courage, determination, strength, and charm. She will always be with me as an example of how to live my life.
